Hi, and welcome to my website HainesforOhio.com. My name is Andrew Haines and I’m running to represent the 51st District of Ohio in the House of Representatives.

To introduce myself, I’m currently the President of the Stark County Young Democrats.  I’ve lived in the district for over 4 years and love the area, its culture and most importantly, its people.  That’s why I’m running this campaign, for the people of Stark County.  For my complete bio click here

I’m running for three main reasons: to help create jobs in Stark County, to improve access to quality, affordable health care and to increase public school funding so that we can ensure that our next generation of Stark County residents is healthy, well educated and have job opportunities after they have completed their education.

This area has suffered economically over the past few years, losing over 3,000 jobs since 2004.  I want to change that.  At age 19, I started my first business.  It was challenging, but I prevailed.  I started a company called Biz Sellers in 2001 and have since started and sold many other businesses, which have helped to create over 700 jobs.  I know the challenges of starting and running a business and that experience will help me work with the State legislature in Columbus to come up with ideas to create jobs in Stark County.  I want to attract new businesses to Stark County and provide incentives for existing businesses to expand their workforce.
